Condensate Drains

There are a number of ways to drain condensate from an air system, varying in degrees of efficiency.

Ball valves are often used as a simple, manual condensate drain.  However, these are often left open and are renowned for causing significant air leakages.

Air Connection highly recommends the use of a reliable automatic condensate drain to ensure water is regularly drained away and to provide good energy efficiency.

There are a variety of condensate drains available from manual float drains to electronic drains.  It is also good practise to fit a strainer prior to a drain to prevent particulate contamination of the automatic drain.
